Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. As a critical care specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care to medical and surgical patients, including cardiac patients as needed
  • Assist with therapies such as vasoactive drug administration, anti-arrhythmic drug administration, and ventilator support
  • Monitor and manage patient care, including Swan-Ganz, central venous pressure, arterial lines, and bedside glucose monitoring
  • Assist with parenteral and enteral nutritional support, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, and acute hemodialysis
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Program in Discipline
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing
  • One year nursing experience
