Neonatology Physician

MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Neonatologist to work alongside our exceptional teams throughout the Indianapolis region.

Our facility provides care for nearly 700 newborns annually, supported by a team of board-certified neonatologists who ensure the highest standard of medical attention for neonates requiring specialized, life-saving interventions.

Our involvement often starts prenatally and extends through the NICU duration, collaborating with a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and interventional specialists while ensuring proper neurodevelopmental follow-up after hospital discharge.

We pride ourselves on a multidisciplinary approach, featuring committed advanced practice providers who maintain communication with referring obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, and primary care providers regarding the infants under our care.

Position Overview:

The primary daytime attending responsibilities will be at a Level III NICU with 16 beds, with potential daytime duties at additional NICUs managed by our Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Night call obligations will align with those of other full-time faculty members within the division.

Advocacy for the needs of high-risk neonates and their families is an essential part of this role.

This position includes a faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine, requiring participation in faculty meetings and other departmental activities. Rank will be determined based on experience.

Qualifications:
Completion of a pediatric residency and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine is required. Candidates must be BE/BC in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. An MD/DO license in Indiana or eligibility for medical licensure is necessary. We welcome applications from both new graduates and seasoned professionals.
