Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and direct care using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in the ICU.
- Participate in department-specific initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Supervise new employees, patient care techs, and/or nurse interns.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Critical Care in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
- Experience with high acuity ICU medical is preferred.
