Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse

At Children's Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment for our team members. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Variable Staffing team in our Critical Care Services department.
Summary:This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing direct patient care to critically ill children. As a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care Services department, you will have the opportunity to work in various critical care areas, including NICU, CVICU, TICU, and PICU, as well as ED and PACU. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, families, and patient care teams, to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
- At least 1 year of acute care pediatric critical care hospital experience.
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association required.
- PALS/NRP/ACLS certification required (department-specific requirements apply).
- PACES certification required within 6 months of hire (existing employees must obtain certification upon expiration of PEARS certification).
