Invasive Cardiology Specialist

The Certified Invasive Cardiology Specialist plays a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac dysfunction. This position requires a highly skilled and clinically competent individual to perform adult diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures with proficiency and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist physicians with complex procedures and oversee technical operations for routine diagnostics and advanced interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Perform all procedures with expertise and demonstrate technical knowledge to collect and assess data, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic care for patients and families.
- Develop and maintain expertise in performing all aspects of recording, scrubbing, and monitoring for Cath/EP lab procedures.
- Provide education and precepting to staff in cardiovascular theory and technical skills.
- Serve as a role model to all personnel by demonstrating a high level of expertise with invasive cardiology systems, including trouble-shooting skills, effective interactions with patients & staff, leadership ability, and professional behavior.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in a health science (cardiovascular/electrophysiology technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) required.
- 1-3 years previous invasive cardiology (catheterization) lab experience with cardiovascular and electrophysiology focus required.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists (RCIS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR Cardiac Interventional Radiography Specialty (ARRT(CI)) certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required for specialty validation.
