Job Overview

Objective:
The Complimentary Morning Hospitality Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional service to guests in a warm and efficient manner within the complimentary breakfast area of the hotel.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of hotel-brand standards, guest expectations, and the distinctive features of the hotel and surrounding area.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in alignment with company standards, adapting to the hotel's scheduling needs.
  • Exhibit high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag during shifts.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage needs in a courteous and professional manner, identifying opportunities to enhance their experience.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables and common areas as per guest requests or management directives.
  • Ensure that food and service areas are well-stocked, organized, clean, and tidy, completing all side work at the end of each shift.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or suggest suitable alternatives.
  • Support all food service areas as needed, including washing dishes, restocking utensils, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
  • Answer the phone in accordance with established standards.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties as assigned.
  • Provide information about the hotel, brand standards, local attractions, and activities.
  • Carry out additional duties or attend meetings as requested by management.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform job functions with precision, speed, and attention to detail.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and present a Food Handlers card as mandated by local regulations.
  • Capable of managing stressful situations in a composed and professional manner.
  • Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and eagerness to assist others, demonstrating a willingness to learn and support team members.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

To successfully perform this role, candidates must be able to stand and walk for the majority of their workday. Lifting and carrying items up to 45 lbs. may be required, along with bending and stooping. The position is primarily indoors in a well-ventilated environment.
