Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Service Representative II to join our team at Washington University in St. Louis. As a key member of our clinical office support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forms and documentation.
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits and referrals, and collect co-payments.
  • Provide HIPAA forms, arbitration forms, and consent-to-treat forms to patients.
  • Collect and reconcile receipts and payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and update patient schedules as needed.
  • Call patients to confirm appointment times, obtain insurance information, and collect referral forms.
  • Prepare and distribute fee tickets, reviewing them for completeness and accuracy.
  • Schedule return patient appointments and patient testing, validating patient parking.
  • Assist patients with insurance questions and billing processes.
  • Support staff with sending reminder cards and other scheduling duties.
Working Conditions

This role is based in a normal office environment with occasional exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Protective devices are required. The physical effort involves typically sitting at a desk or table, standing or walking, bending, crouching, and stooping. Occasional lifting of 25 pounds or less is required.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or CPR St Louis.
  • 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication, computer literacy, insurance, interpersonal relationships, and medical terminology skills.
