The Allina Health Cancer Institute is being built upon the outstanding foundation of Allina's current cancer program, widely recognized for its clinical expertise, care coordination, and compassionate approach to care.
Key Position Details- Provide services in the west region of the Twin Cities within the communities of Minneapolis and the surrounding areas.
- Full-time position with Monday-Friday business hours.
- Team includes Hematologist/Oncologists and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Role covers the infusion center, clinic, and hospital settings.
- May assist with infusion center program development.
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers for specialty care when determined.
- Consults with physician when patient needs outside of NP/PA scope of practice, diagnosis, or treatment plan is unclear.
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates).
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA) - National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants within specialty upon hire required.
