Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at King's Fish House – Huntington Beach. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Input orders into the point-of-sale system and retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from the bar.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
- Acknowledge all guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to guests – however busy.
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Collect and process payments in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Support table resets, validating completion and accuracy.
- Complete server close out per restaurant standards and report tips at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages with food.
- Minimum 1 year service experience.
- Some wine/cocktail knowledge.
- High school graduate, some college.
- Current CA Food Handler's Card.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to maintain complete knowledge of the service standards.
