Position Summary Apple Tree Children's Center is seeking a dedicated full-time educator for our 2s, 3s, and Pre-K programs. This role is essential in creating and sustaining a secure, healthy, and nurturing educational atmosphere.
Qualifications Applicants must fulfill one or more of the following educational criteria, along with any applicable state and/or local licensing prerequisites:
- 99-hour Preschool Certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline with 18 semester hours of coursework focused on young children
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may encompass, but are not limited to:
Creating a Safe and Nurturing Learning Environment
- Develop a classroom management approach that aligns with the developmental goals of the children
- Encourage healthy eating habits during meal and snack times
- Ensure adherence to state ratio regulations
- Address spills and minor messes promptly
- Maintain a structured classroom schedule with established routines and learning opportunities
- Comply with all Health and Safety protocols
Enhancing Children's Physical and Intellectual Growth
- Tailor the educational program to accommodate the individual needs of each child
- Foster a multicultural learning atmosphere
- Provide age-appropriate educational materials
