About the Position:

The successful candidate will evaluate patients' speech and language abilities, both defects and assets, and perform periodic reevaluations. They will plan and provide rehabilitative services for speech and language disorders, maintaining accurate records of patients' progress and reactions to treatment on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' speech and language abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide speech and language therapies to patients in their homes
  • Maintain accurate records of patients' progress and reactions to treatment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on speech and language disorders

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of New York
  • At least one year of supervised work experience in speech and language therapy
  • Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
