Job Description

At Holiday Inn Express, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team. As a Night Audit Relief Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk during evening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process daily audits of the hotel's financial data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, handling all necessary paperwork and transactions.
  • Post guest charges, compute guest bills, and collect payment, adhering to all cash handling procedures.
  • Handle guest mail and messages, as well as administer safe deposit boxes and key security systems.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies.
  • Take reservation requests, answer switchboard calls, and block rooms as needed.
  • Monitor room availability, handle special requests, and maintain a clean and organized lobby area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing shifts, making cash drops, and balancing credit cards, cash, and change funds.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move luggage or packages as needed.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to maintain a safe working environment.
