Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher License in New Mexico
- Qualified with Bilingual endorsement
- Exhibits a collaborative spirit and readiness to fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities
Performance Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the state-approved Code of Ethics for Educators and uphold departmental rules, administrative directives, and relevant regulations.
- Deliver educational content and skills to students, utilizing established standards and benchmarks.
- Instruct students on citizenship, expected behavior, and fundamental subject matter as mandated by state law.
- Modify materials and methodologies to create engaging and sequential assignments that challenge students.
- Select and order educational resources while maintaining necessary inventory records.
- Tailor the curriculum to provide individualized, small group, or remedial instruction to address diverse student needs.
- Encourage independent thinking and original expression among students.
- Assess each student's academic progress.
- Establish and maintain behavioral standards conducive to a productive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Identify student needs and collaborate with other professionals to address health, attitude, and learning challenges.
- Supervise students during assigned activities both inside and outside the classroom.
- Administer standardized assessments in accordance with district guidelines.
- Engage in curriculum alignment, performance standards assessments, and necessary revisions.
- Collect data to formulate strategies for student improvement.
- Participate in faculty committees and support student activities as outlined in district policy.
- Maintain professional growth through district-provided in-service education and self-selected professional development opportunities.
- Provide guidance and materials for substitute educators.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Possess technology literacy.
- Engage in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and transition plans, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the administrator.
