Lead the Way in Respiratory Therapy Education

As a Clinical Director of Respiratory Therapy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the Respiratory Therapy program at Pima Medical Institute.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical instructors and secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements.
  • Visit clinical facilities, provide guidance and counseling, and ensure students receive technical instruction.
  • Develop guidelines for students to maintain physician interaction and maintain records of medical direction.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to establish clinical assignments and develop clinical objectives and evaluations.
  • Orient students to each clinical education site and monitor competency evaluations.
  • Evaluate students' performance and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
  • Prepare lecture plans and materials, provide feedback to students, and coordinate the clinical education plan.
  • Maintain student grades and collaborate with public and community respiratory care agencies.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institute.
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) State license.
  • Four years of experience as a registered respiratory therapist, with at least two years in clinical respiratory care.
  • Two years of instructor experience in an accredited respiratory therapy program.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, as well as knowledge of computer skills.
