Business Analyst Job Description

About the Role:

Taylor Corporation is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Transformation team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing and optimizing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis and Improvement:
    • Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
    • Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other means.
    • Develop and maintain business process documentation, including process maps and flowcharts.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are effective.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
    • Identify and report defects, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that solutions are thoroughly tested and validated.
  • Support and Training:
    • Provide training and support to stakeholders on new processes and systems.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement training plans.
    • Provide ongoing support to stakeholders to ensure that they are able to use new processes and systems effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • 6+ years of process improvement experience; especially experience that leverages technology.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM applications implementation and support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with accounting and finance.
  • Someone who is innovative and detail-oriented.
  • A change agent willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Someone knowledgeable in designing and constructing business processes and their links to technology.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Good project management skills.
