We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent the engineering team and communicate directly with project managers and material managers.
- Create the skeleton structure in Teamcenter and distribute Excel versions to the MMP and PM.
- Attend sales KOMs and review project technical specifications, sales proposals, and sales estimates.
- Develop crane general arrangement drawings and make steel structure calculations using KC Gantry and supporting tools.
- Head engineering KOMs and maintain project engineering schedules in ERMS.
- Approve drawings and crane design EBOMs in Teamcenter.
- Schedule electrical coordination meetings and manage changes.
- Develop design standards and maintain engineering best practices.
- Provide transportation or erection drawings as needed.
- Track design engineering quality issues and provide feedback for improvement.
- Stay current on industry standards and norms, including CMAA, AWS, OSHA, and ASCE.
