Pharmacist

SpartanNash is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe dispensing of prescription medications to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Dispense medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide medication counseling and advice to customers on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Order and maintain inventory of pharmaceutical stock, ensuring timely and accurate restocking.
- Lead and oversee pharmacy technicians and interns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including customer profiles, insurance forms, and pharmacy records.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, making recommendations for process improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field required; Doctorate degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in a pharmaceutical department, with a strong understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Pharmacy License in good standing, with immunization certification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 30 pounds. The work environment is typical of a retail store, with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
