Job Title: Traveling First Assist RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Assist RN to join our team of traveling healthcare professionals. As a First Assist RN, you will work closely with surgeons to provide high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of surgical procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you are a motivated and compassionate First Assist RN looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons in general and specialized surgeries
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide post-operative care
  • Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs
  • Perform surgical procedures such as controlling bleeding and suturing incisions
  • Prepare all necessary supplies and position patients on the operating table
  • Monitor patient vital signs and heart rate
  • Educate patients and families on operation and aftercare
  • Perform post-operative assessments and monitoring
  • CPR or emergency measures if required
Requirements:
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Certification as a First Assist RN, certification in perioperative nursing
  • Operating room experience required
  • At least 2 years of experience
