- Assess patients to identify nursing diagnoses, goals, and interventions.
- Implement individualized patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Instruct patients and families to promote health and well-being.
- Document nursing activities to ensure continuity of care and quality improvement.
- Position patients to ensure access to the operative site while maintaining safety and comfort.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment to reduce the risk of infection.
- Coordinate support services to meet patient and surgical team needs.
- Three years of experience in perioperative nursing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in scrub and circulating roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in applying principles of aseptic technique.
- Demonstrated knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative technique related to first assisting.
- Certified in perioperative nursing (CNOR).
- Successful completion of additional educational preparation specific to the role of RNFA.
