This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support in a multi-specialty women's health setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient service, including greeting patients, answering phones, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments, register patients, and verify demographic data.
- Obtain insurance information, verify benefits, and obtain authorizations as required.
- Collect patient payments, provide accurate receipts, and post payments in the system.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, including patient interactions and transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining department and individual work queues and reports.
- One year of customer service experience, with interactions with customers in person and by phone.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and data entry.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
- May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
