Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diversified duties in several trades, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, plumbing, and building trades. They will troubleshoot and repair machines, processes, and systems related to the overall maintenance function of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains electrical and mechanical systems as they relate to manufacturing.
  • Handles emergency maintenance jobs.
  • Maintains inventories and orders materials as needed.
  • Installs equipment and processes as they relate to the manufacturing of medical devices using sketches, drawings, and prints.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls and components on production equipment and systems. Must understand ladder logic.
  • Completes in-house calibration and records data as it relates to GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.
  • Designs control systems and builds control panels for specialty equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Performs water treatment and monitors discharge of waste to the sewer system; documents such activities to meet federal and state compliance regulations.
  • Maintains and cleans systems and equipment as required.
  • Repairs and troubleshoots air conditioning equipment and boiler systems.
  • Maintains buildings and grounds.
  • Maintains section compliance with GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains logs and records to meet all compliances of these agencies.
  • Assists with industrial hygiene studies as they relate to employee safety, i.e., hearing conservation, ventilation studies, etc.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, equipment manuals, metals, chemicals, and other materials used in the maintenance function.
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
  • 5+ years of work experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • Successful completion of an approved formal apprenticeship program in this specialized field or the equivalent in work experience and/or on-the-job training, or any combination thereof.
