About the Role:

SunCoast Blood Bank is seeking a dedicated DS Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Technician Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our collection operations.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Greet and register donors and patients, and assist with various donor recruitment activities.
  2. Determine donor suitability and perform phlebotomy for the collection of whole blood units or samples.
  3. Provide post-donation care instructions, including treatment of adverse reactions.
  4. Ensure proper storage of blood during collection operations and prepare for transport.
  5. Perform quality control, maintenance, calibration, and validation of section equipment.
What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year phlebotomy or medical experience, customer service, or other equivalent experience.
  • Medium work - Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time with occasional sitting.
