We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced physician to serve as the Chair of the Department of Urology at West Virginia University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the department's academic, clinical, and research missions, and will play a key role in advancing the university's mission to provide high-quality patient care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and vision for the department's academic, clinical, and research programs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the department's mission and goals
- Oversee the department's budget and financial operations
- Recruit and retain top faculty and staff
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance the university's mission
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
- Certification by the American Board of Urology
- Medical licensure in the State of West Virginia
- At least 10 years of clinical practice experience and 3 years of administrative experience in an academic medical center
