Job Summary:

The Pharmacist PRN will be responsible for consulting with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints. You will also conduct drug utilization reviews, prepare drug review criteria for medical staff approval, and monitor drug therapies as assigned by medical staff. Additionally, you will integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and prepare drug review criteria for medical staff approval.
  • Monitor drug therapies as assigned by medical staff and suggest alternatives as appropriate.
  • Consult with physician and physician groups concerning financial risk management related to prescribing.
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice.
Requirements:
  • Current license as a Registered Pharmacist required.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60.00/hr.
