Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider - Pediatric Hematology & Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Hematology & Oncology team at OU Health. As an APP, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic health needs.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team to provide patient-centered care, education, and health promotion. You will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and care coordination for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform history and physical assessments of patients, ordering diagnostic studies and interpreting results.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and alter the plan of care as needed, maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care, facilitating consistent and coordinated care among healthcare team members.
  • Participate in research opportunities to advance patient care and treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and health-related agencies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Services.
  • 3 or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty preferred.
  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Oklahoma, and certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and/or the AANP, or Active PA license in State of Oklahoma and certification issued by the NCCPA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prescriptive authority within 6 months of hire.
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
