POSITION SUMMARY:

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist plays a crucial role in utilizing ionizing radiation to create detailed cross-sectional images that assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. Under the supervision of a qualified Radiologist, CT Technologists conduct diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations while adhering to established protocols and standards. They are responsible for delivering patient care across all age demographics, including neonates, children, adults, and the elderly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required. Candidates with less than one year of experience must possess advanced certification from ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). For those with less than one year of experience, registration in Computed Tomography (CT) is necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced certification from ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT) is preferred. BLS certification is required, along with a minimum of six (6) months of experience as a CT Technologist.
