Role Summary

Grundfos is on the lookout for a skilled Engineering Systems Specialist to become part of our Industry Operations division.

In this role, you will oversee the daily engineering assistance for our pump product range, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and departmental objectives, as well as contributing to new product development and enhancement initiatives.

Your responsibilities may include leading specialized projects for OEM sales, managing customer inquiries, establishing new part numbers, creating bills of material (BOMs), addressing technical queries from sales and customers, and providing support to Grundfos production for all Factory Product Variant pumps as necessary. You will work closely with various departments including sales, service, machining, procurement, assembly, testing, quality assurance, order processing, and configuration.

You will report to the CSU manager (Engineered Products manager) and will primarily operate from our facility. There may be opportunities for hybrid work arrangements following initial training.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer inquiries for the creation of specialized hydro systems within the Customer Service Unit/Engineering Department.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design system layouts, new structural frames, and other components required for new systems.
  • Lead projects as necessary to fulfill requests and assemble systems efficiently.
  • Generate special system part numbers and bills of material (BOM) in SAP, either manually or using the product configurator system.
  • Organize and complete Sales Requests for new hydro systems within established timeframes.
  • Ensure BOM maintenance and accuracy.
  • Act as an engineering liaison to production for specialized hydro systems.
  • Coordinate and conduct special tests requested by customers, such as Verified Tests, Hydrostatic Tests, and Witness Tests.
  • Assist production needs for specialized systems on the shop floor.
  • Engage in Kaizen process improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile

We envision that you possess:
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating technical drawings.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The capability to manage conflicting requests while prioritizing individual and group needs.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to working onsite at our facility.
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

The compensation range for this role is competitive and will be determined based on skills, experience, and location.
