Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Specialist to join our team at Cheyney University campus. As a key member of our food service operation, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.

This role involves:

• Baking breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary, while assisting in production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensuring proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards, and using proper equipment.
• Assisting with the completion of production records, including waste tracking, used/unused portions, and product shortages, and informing the supervisor when supplies are low.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within your work area.
• Cleaning equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments, keeping display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer-oriented skills with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Adaptability and physical stamina for a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
