Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at the bulk terminals in Granite City, IL. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rail, truck, and barge terminals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks to aid daily operation, including carrying, dragging, and pulling of wires, lines, and railcar door opener equipment.
  • Work on the river apron and in the cargo holds of barges being loaded and unloaded.
  • Assist in crane signaling operations to lift and move cargo in normal daily stevedoring operations.
  • Shovel and sweep while railcars or trucks are unloading product.
  • Sledgehammer railcars.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate the Ingram Way and uphold Ingram's high safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly in unexpected circumstances.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and acceptance of diversity.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Possess a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work daily.
  • Pass a post-offer process, including a background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Ability to walk and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis unassisted.
  • Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements.
