Overview:

The ICE IHSC functions within the United States Enforcement and Removal Operations under the Department of Homeland Security. Our healthcare team is dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to those in ICE custody.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care
  • Conduct physical assessments
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Address medical emergencies
Essential Attributes and Professional Qualities:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking capabilities
  • Cultural awareness
Educational and Professional Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • At least one year of professional nursing experience
Licensure and Certification:
  • Valid RN license
  • Current BLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of patient privacy laws
Work Hours and On-Call Requirements:
  • Availability for various shifts including day, evening, and night
  • No on-call duties required
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires physical stamina
  • Ability to respond to medical emergencies
Security Requirements:
  • Must meet DHS security clearance standards
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
