Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week and variable work schedule.

We offer a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

About the Role:

The pharmacy technician provides administrative, operational, and project support to the pharmacy team. Handling highly confidential information, duties are performed in accordance with performance standards established for the job.

The role requires protecting sensitive patient, employee, and Mercy proprietary information in accordance with hospital and system policies, HIPAA requirements, and ethical standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Operations: Prepare medications, maintain accurate inventory levels, adhere to regulatory requirements, and verify barcode scanning accuracy of medications received in pharmacy.
  • Administrative: Take minutes at staff meetings, triage phone calls, maintain departmental documents and records, and manage user profiles in automated dispensing cabinet server.
  • Other Duties: Coordinate offsite deliveries, participate in floor inspections, and manage code cart.
Requirements:
  • Credentials: Pharmacy technician certification is required.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Work Environment:
  • Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people.
  • Potential exposure to diseases or infections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Work with computers, typing, reading, or writing.
Estimated Salary:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience.
