About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Anne Arundel Dermatology. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and confirm their identity and medical history.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Organize patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment according to instructions.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Document all medical instructions given to patients and review wound care with patients as needed.
  • Administer injections and anesthesia for procedures.
  • Ensure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred.
  • 1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
