The Clinical Nurse (RN) will work under the direction of a healthcare provider to deliver high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities. Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned job duties, including drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation within licensure guidelines) to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide telephone triage by offering advice on home care of illness/conditions and conducting follow-up calls as needed.
- Administer vaccines and ordered medications via oral, IM, SQ, or ID routes.
- Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services as requested by healthcare providers.
- Complete forms or requisitions needed for referrals or lab testing, including CPT/ICD-9 coding.
- Supervise delegated duties to LPNs and CMAs on approved clinical protocols.
About You:
- You have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and promoting the safety and well-being of patients.
- You possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
- You are a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- You have 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- You maintain regular and consistent attendance at work and demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service.
