Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant Supervisor to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a key member of our oral surgery department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our surgery clinic, supervising dental assistants, and ensuring the smooth running of our Implant Surgery Suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Oversee the implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the ordering and stocking of clinical supplies and implants.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate records and reports for Joint Commission inspections and other accreditations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality patient care and service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program preferred.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in an oral surgery-based office.
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Word applications.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Radiology Certification required.
