Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication abilities in children aged 2-6, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care and support for each child and their family.
  • Provide education, resources, and support to families to empower them to foster their child's speech and language development.
  • Regularly evaluate and document progress, refining interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • License to practice speech pathology in the state of Colorado.
  • 3+ years of experience in speech therapy, with a preference for those with experience working with children with ASD.
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or a willingness to learn from our clinical teams.
  • Ability to connect and engage with young children, embodying a playful spirit.
