Job Overview

POSITION TITLE: Driver/Courier

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves transporting patients to and from their scheduled medical appointments, as well as delivering essential prescriptions and supplies across various locations including pharmacies and healthcare facilities.

REPORTS TO: CRVFHP Manager

FLSA STATUS: Part Time, Non-Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Operate, load, and unload vehicles safely.
  2. Ensure timely transportation of patients to designated locations.
  3. Plan routes effectively to avoid delays caused by traffic, construction, or weather conditions.
  4. Utilize navigation tools to identify the most efficient routes.
  5. Adhere to scheduled pickup and delivery routes, adjusting as necessary.
  6. Comply with traffic regulations and organizational policies regarding vehicle operation.
  7. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to confirm it is in good working order.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and adequate fuel levels in the vehicle.
  9. Report any vehicle-related issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  10. Communicate professionally and maintain a positive demeanor while interacting with patients and staff.
  11. Document mileage and any expenses related to vehicle usage accurately.
  12. Monitor and manage vehicle inspection and registration renewals, notifying supervisors in advance of expiration dates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR certification is a plus.

Experience: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Previous experience in a healthcare or dental environment is advantageous.
