POSITION SUMMARY: This role will collaborate closely with the Vice President to implement and manage the marketing strategy aligned with the company's strategic goals, market dynamics, customer insights, and financial parameters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Engage with the Vice President to grasp the organizational culture and fundamental business framework relevant to the marketing strategy.
- Ensure consistent representation of the brand and positioning throughout the organization, both internally and externally.
- Participate in all sales meetings and selected events.
- Consult with the Vice President and product Sales Engineers to evaluate current and prospective markets, devise marketing strategies and objectives, and outline new policies or promotional campaigns.
- Collect and analyze data to ascertain market characteristics, potential market sizes, market share assessments, and sales evaluations.
- Under the guidance of the Vice President, conduct competitor analysis to comprehend their product features, pricing strategies, revenue figures, management structures, staffing, and corporate capabilities, to derive their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT), and probable strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to identify existing customers by industry and equipment requirements and investigate their competitors for similar sales opportunities.
- Maintain connections with trade publications, online platforms, industry associations, and community organizations, and seek public relations opportunities through these channels.
- Work alongside the Vice President and Sales Engineers to create marketing campaigns that encompass email, website content, newsletters, social media, print materials, and other promotional items.
- Research, negotiate, and coordinate new marketing and advertising initiatives.
- Engage with external advertising agencies and third-party vendors regarding ongoing campaigns.
- Oversee advertising schedules and placements, reviewing rates as necessary.
- Design graphics and layouts for print advertisements, flyers, brochures, email newsletters, and social media profiles.
- Create, write, and edit marketing materials and artistic content for both print and digital media.
- Assist the Vice President and Sales Engineers in planning and executing public relations programs, promotions, and trade exhibitions.
- Monitor and assess advertising budgets, usage, and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on current social media best practices, trends, and tools, recommending new strategies, and implementing improvements as required.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the website and SEO initiatives to boost performance, rankings, and traffic.
- Manage photography and videography of products prior to shipment and maintain organized files.
- Coordinate with Sales Engineers in the production of short video content.
- Respond to customer inquiries generated through marketing efforts, forwarding information to sales as directed, and sharing customer contact details with the appropriate sales personnel.
- Conduct customer surveys to gather marketing insights about the organization, products, and services.
- Maintain a comprehensive marketing database and mailing lists, including customer, competitor, and prospect records.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned to fulfill business needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training in marketing capital process equipment; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A degree in marketing is preferred.
• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software is essential.
• Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar software is advantageous.
