Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transformer Painter to join our production team at WEG Transformers USA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality paint finishes on our transformers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Identify and organize transformer and subcomponents for painting
  • Apply primer, paint, and color as per Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Set up and operate paint equipment
  • Clean transformers and sub-assemblies prior to painting
  • Mark and protect areas not to be painted or coated
  • Apply complete finish coat per Work Instruction
  • Conduct quality checks on final paint finish and rework/repaint as needed
  • Remove masking and protection
  • Maintain paint system and notify supervisor and maintenance of any issues
Requirements
  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Resides or plans to reside within reasonable commuting distance
  • Has current work authorization for employment in the United States
  • Must complete talent assessment, job interview, pre-employment drug screen, and background check
  • Safety-sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two years prior manufacturing experience
  • ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC): Platinum or Gold Level
Compensation

$22.79 per hour
