Job Summary

Pantheon Data is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for the overall security of our information systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement security measures and best practices to ensure the security of our systems and applications.
  • Create, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and suggest improvements to enhance our security.
  • Participate in incident response planning and execute procedures during security breaches.
  • Analyze and respond to security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Implement and manage security software, such as firewalls and encryption programs, to protect our systems and data.
  • Perform periodic risk assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Create and promote best practices for information security.
  • Monitor network traffic to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Over 3 years of experience in information security, network security, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and security information and event management systems (SIEMs) and cloud security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are advantageous.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location:

Hybrid - Arlington, VA.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $91,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
