Our team is composed of experts from various domains, including technology, AI, privacy, intellectual property, corporate law, employment law, tax law, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
About the Role
As a key member of our AI Product Counsel team, you will support legal initiatives associated with our sophisticated AI products, models, and technologies.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with our research, engineering, and product teams throughout the development and launch of innovative products and services.
This position offers a unique chance to engage directly with the cutting edge of both legal and AI disciplines. You will report to the Head of Product Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary legal advisor and collaborator for various teams focused on AI research and product innovation.
- Identify and mitigate product-related, regulatory, privacy, and other legal risks.
- Formulate strategies to address legal challenges creatively and establish processes for scalable solutions that manage risk.
- Collaborate with our Commercial legal team to facilitate the market introduction of products for both consumers and enterprises.
- Develop expertise in AI legal matters and contribute to the formulation and advancement of AI legal policy positions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses over 10 years of experience in a combination of in-house and technology-oriented law firm roles.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of legal principles while approaching challenges with practicality and integrity.
- Builds effective cross-functional relationships and communication styles that resonate with teams, balancing risk-taking with responsible innovation.
- Exhibits a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and enthusiasm for technology, enjoys facing continuous challenges, and showcases sound judgment in uncertain situations.
- Holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and is licensed or qualified to practice law in California.

Compensation Range:
$225K - $250K
Benefits:
In addition to the salary range, total compensation includes generous equity and benefits such as:
