Position Overview
The Research Associate position at the Marsico Institute focuses on advancing pioneering initiatives in early STEM education, particularly aimed at promoting inclusive STEM learning for young children with disabilities. Key responsibilities encompass engaging in research activities, managing projects, developing educational resources, conducting data analysis, writing for academic purposes, and collaborating with various stakeholders. This role is ideal for candidates eager to contribute significantly to the fields of special education and early STEM education, requiring foundational academic expertise alongside developing leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Research Engagement
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on early inclusion and STEM education.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Special Education, STEM Education, or a related discipline.
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in a related field.
Work Environment
Standard office environment with occasional interruptions and moderate stress levels. Noise levels range from quiet to moderate.
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary work with occasional movement and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
