Job Title: Porter and Dishwasher

The Monument Resort is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter and Dishwasher to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scrape, rinse, and load all back-of-house and front-of-house dishes and utensils into the dish machine
  • Wash, sanitize, unload, and organize all pans, utensils, and dishes
  • Clean and maintain the dish machine, ensuring it is in good working condition
  • Empty trash containers throughout the building regularly
  • Load and unload firewood for the pizza oven
  • Clean grease traps thoroughly daily
  • Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
  • Clean all hand washing sinks and prep sinks at the end of every shift
  • Polish dishes, silverware, and glassware before putting them away
  • Assist chefs with food preparation when needed
  • Perform additional cleaning duties as requested by the kitchen management team
Requirements:
  • Current Utah Food Handlers Permit
  • Age 16+
  • Minimal experience required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40+ lbs
  • Ability to continually bend, kneel, and reach
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8+ hours)

Work Environment:

Generally, in an indoor setting with occasional exposure to outdoor environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or cold weather. Working in a potential slippery environment.
