Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Surgical Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Position patients effectively to ensure optimal exposure during operations while prioritizing their comfort and safety.
- Execute physician orders to provide visualization of the surgical site using appropriate techniques, including tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
- Apply appropriate methods to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.
- Aid in closing body planes, applying wound dressings, and securing drainage systems.

Qualifications:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer required.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer required.
- Registered Nurse credential from the relevant nursing board required prior to hire or transfer.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse specializing in First Assistant preferred.

Education:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
