About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team as a Surgical First Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in preparing patients for surgery, positioning them for optimal exposure, and maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Implement physicians' orders to provide visualization of the operative site, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Utilize advanced skills to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin or compact state.
  • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
  • Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room or First Assistant preferred.
