Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist Lead to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating technical and support personnel involved in the acquisition and processing of CT exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily work schedules of staff and monitor patient schedules to ensure efficient and safe patient flow and acquisition of optimal images.
  • Assist leadership in achieving site and system objectives, including maintaining site ACR accreditations and Joint Commission standards.
  • Develop and implement effective problem-solving strategies, demonstrating leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Train new staff and perform annual competencies on all scan techniques and Advance Processing Workstation applications for CT staff.
  • Assist in interview processes and candidate selection, as well as annual staff evaluations.
  • Perform duties of general CT Technologist when necessary to support efficient flow of patients through the department.
  • Ensure staff adheres to ALARA Standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.
  • Accurately and efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
Requirements
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred, with advanced/3D scanning experience preferred.
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional CT certification required within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from The American Heart Association and/or The American Red Cross at hire.
