We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Engineering Specialist to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Paint Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our paint application equipment and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with paint application and sealer robots, PLCs, and other automation systems.
- Update program backups for automation and reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements.
- Coordinate automation corrections, PM/AM activities, and validate finish system pathwork.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials for paint system use and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in paint application equipment and controls, including experience with Fanuc robot programming, DeviceNet, RS Logics, and PLC-5.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience with 8Ds, 4Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs.
- Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, and interpret and modify electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of paint application system programming, delivery systems, and networking concepts.
