CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team at PFG Customized Distribution. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight in an accurate and legible fashion.
  • Deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule and unload products from the trailer.
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 0 - 6 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
