Dental Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Support Specialist to join our team at TN Specialty Dental Services, PLLC. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our oral surgery practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor sedated patients and provide a safe and comfortable environment for them.
- Prepare all equipment, instruments, and materials for use prior to patient arrival.
- Escort patients to the operatory in a timely manner and assist the doctor with all dental treatments and/or procedures performed.
- Take X-rays as needed or instructed after reviewing case notes or dental referral.
- Confirm with medical history with patients and make any necessary changes needed.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
- Stock all operatories and designated sterilization area(s) and notify the Lead Dental Assistant of materials that are running low and need replacement or re-stocking.
- Aid the Lead RDA in training of new Sterilization Techs, RDA's and Doctors.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedules and office policies.
Requirements
- Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state.
- Must excel in forward thinking to anticipate the needs of the patient and our dental team.
- Must be CPR Certified.
Salary Description
$18-$25/hour
