Job Title: Digital Photography Technician

New Era Cap, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Digital Photography Technician to join our team. As a key member of our photography department, you will be responsible for compiling, organizing, and maintaining digital assets created by internal and external photography partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain digital assets using our company's Digital Asset Management system (Widen)
  • Create high-quality digital images for use in e-commerce
  • Compile, organize, and maintain digital assets created by internal and external photography partners
  • Log and catalog images and descriptions accurately
  • Recognize file types and convert accordingly to work within appropriate programs
  • Receive, organize, and prepare products for photography
  • Work with photographers to organize, crop, color correct, name, and upload product photography to retouching partners
  • Download retouched and rendered images from FTP servers and upload images into our digital asset management system
  • Maintain efficient workflow in the photo studio and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Communicate with third-party vendors regarding capacity and workflow
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
Requirements:
  • Proficient in both MAC and PC environments
  • Complete knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, Bridge, and Lightroom
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
  • Must have a thorough understanding of studio photography and lighting concepts
  • Extraordinary technical and organizational skills
  • Not satisfied with mediocrity with a willingness to create positive change by constantly looking for ways to improve
  • Work well under tight deadlines with running changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with, or knowledge of, various professional photography programs such as Capture One preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Appreciation or interest in sports/lifestyle apparel preferred
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in photography/communications or related technical field preferred; additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • One (1) to Three (3) years of experience with hands-on digital imaging/studio experience required
Travel Requirement:
  • Negligible (0 - 5%)

The salary range for this posted position is $48,000 - $53,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties, and requirements, and necessary experience.
