Image Journalist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and talented Photographer to join our team at Lee Enterprises. As a key member of our news organization, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos that tell the stories of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex breaking news situations under intense deadline and logistical pressure.
• Develop and maintain exceptional core photojournalism skills, including photography, videography, reporting, caption writing, and journalistic ethics.
• Collaborate with our team to create compelling, informative, emotional, and intimate visual stories.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in photojournalism.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of daily newspaper experience.
• Professional knowledge of Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, Premiere, and other photo and video editing software.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends.
